How Many NRL Teams Are There?

The National Rugby League (NRL) is the premier professional rugby league competition in Australasia. The league is made up of sixteen teams, with fifteen teams based in Australia and one team based in New Zealand. In 1947 The Redcliffe Peninsula Rugby League Club club is founded, in an effort to promote the game of rugby league in the Peninsula area. A meeting of interested parties on February 27 in that year made the formation of the club a reality and the first office bearers were elected.
